News from the Katom Class for the week of January 30th

This week was packed with new adventures for the infants of the Katom class.  We discovered the texture of flour, pudding and finally sand for our sensory experiences.  The children loved sifting their hands through these textures.  Katelyn, Isaac and Joel visited the playground everyday and on friday, Joel and Katelyn discovered the sandbox.  It was a little warm, so we only spent ten minutes out there.  It has been so wonderful to be outside again.   The children love their daily Bye Bye Buggy rides as well.   We also celebrated the first birthdays of Isaac and Joel in Miss Peggie's room.  This was a fun-filled event was complete with balloons, cupcakes and bubbles.   Katelyn is crawling and Joel and Isaac have taken their first steps and are off and running, keeping Miss Adriana and Miss Carol on their toes.
