Yarok class has been learning all about the human body and on Shabbat we always do something special so I told them we are going to have a chocolate party. The day before Shabbat we melted white chocolate into a brain mold and added red food color into it. Then we poured white chocolate into teeth molds and let it harden in the fridgerator over night. On Shabbat during snack time we seperated the chocolate which is Kosher and they got to see the anatomy of the human brain and the teeth as they tasted the chocolate and they loved it. Any hands on learning experience that the children can eat really creates memories and excitment in our class.
