Paper flowers for Shavuot

Although the gardenias are blooming outside, we decided the kind made with paper would hold up better for our hair wreathes. In honor of the celebration of Shavuot at school this Friday, each class has been busy making tissue paper flowers with the children to decorate the synagogue with.  They are painted and sprayed with perfume, some used coffee filters and spray bottles with colored water in them, others used kleenex.  In the end, we will have a synagogue filled with flowers and the children will take the extras to make wreathes to wear as they go to the synagogue gazebo to eat cheesecakes they are making with Miss Samantha later this week.  What a way to celebrate spring!!!
